2022 Health Datapalooza and National Health Policy Conference

AcademyHealth is once again offering the in-person experience of attending the joint Health Datapalooza and the National Health Policy Conference (NHPC), a successful collaboration that began in 2020. The co-location of these meetings provides attendees with the unique experience of participating in both events and hearing the best of health data and healthy policy innovation over the course of three days. Attendees can participate in boundary breaking discussions about the latest and most important health policy issues facing our nation and the data and evidence that will drive innovation and help achieve our goals of better health and health care for everyone.

As we seek to expand opportunities among data and policy audiences, the meetings will emphasize several cross-cutting areas including diversity, equity, and inclusion, and trust. In addition, this year’s themes will focus on how care is being transformed; including payment and cost implications; how we should advance science and technology policy; how data is being used to improve health and well-being, and how we can better secure and protect health data. In addition, we seek to integrate lessons learned from the COVID pandemic, address ongoing challenges related to environmental health, and understand how we can collectively balance innovation and governance across health programs and groundbreaking tools. Finally, as in past years, we will continue to emphasize the role of patients in all these activities and as active participants in the meeting across panels, conversations, and through patient scholarships for attendees.

The Health Datapalooza and NHPC will draw the brightest minds from across a diverse spectrum to focus on the deficiencies and opportunities of our health policy, care delivery and data ecosystems, and the daunting challenges that lie ahead for all of us.

The in-person meetings will be held February 14 - 5, 2022 , in Arlington, VA.

All submitters should be prepared to present in-person. A subset of content will be selected to be presented virtually. Information about your presentation format will be included in notifications.

This will be a vaccine-required event. All in-person attendees and presenters will be asked to show proof of vaccination to enter the conference space.

Each meeting will have dedicated content – breakouts, rapid fires, posters, and unconference sessions – along with joint plenaries for both audiences and creative opportunities to engage and network with all participants.
